With summer fast approaching, everyone in Sonoma County is eager to celebrate the great weather and longer days. When you find yourself in the beautiful Wine Country this June, get ready to indulge yourself with festivals, car shows, community celebrations, and fun gatherings at some of the County’s finest wineries. If that sounds like a lot, don’t worry! We’ve taken the time to highlight some of our upcoming favorites for you to check out while you visit, so grab your bike (we’ve got you covered if you need) and let’s look at some of the highlights this June:

Windsor

Summer Nights on The Green

Taking place every Thursday evening right by our tour center, this beloved annual event brings together music, community, and the beautiful outdoors. Hosted by the Town of Windsor and the Windsor Farmers Market, this lively concert series takes place on the Windsor Town Green and includes live concerts, a farmers’ market, food vendors, and fun for everyone. Performing at the Summer Nights on The Green this June are talented artists such as Dustin Saylor & The Stowaways, Kalimba (An Earth, Wind, & Fire tribute band), The Purple Ones (A Prince Tribute Band), and Apple Z. Make sure to lend their amazing music an ear as you enjoy the evening festivities!

Russian River Brewing Company

If you’re in the market for beer, look no further than Russian River Brewing Company’s Windsor location. Needing no introduction, this brewery has won dozens of awards and continues to be one of Sonoma County’s prize jewels. The company recently built their dream brewery in Windsor that overlooks 4 acres of wetland preserve and houses their entire brewing operation.

The best part about the Russian River Brewing Company is that they’re not going anywhere. If you find yourself in Windsor through June and into the summer months, you’ll have every opportunity to enjoy some of the best beer in the world. Healdsburg

Winemaker Wednesdays Complimentary Wine Tastings

Join Sonoma County Vintners every other week for a delightful wine tasting experience at The Matheson. From 5:00pm to 6:00pm on the 12th and 26th, a different Sonoma County winery will be pouring a selection of their exquisite wines at The Matheson’s first-floor bar. The best part? After the tasting, make sure to stick around from 6:00pm to 7:00pm for the live radio show, “Vine, Wine & Dine,” on CRN Digital Talk Radio. During the show, the guest vintner will engage in conversation with SCV Executive Director Michael Haney, Chef Dustin Valette, and Larry Van Aalst. It’s a perfect opportunity to learn more about the world of wine!

Healdsburg Jazz Festival

After the landmark 25th anniversary festival last year, Healdsburg Jazz continues its triumphant journey with an ambitious program that will run from June 15th to the 23rd. Prepare to be captivated by a series of unforgettable concerts set in beautiful venues that range from wineries and restaurants to public plazas and historic theaters. Taking one look at the roster, this year’s festival boasts an impressive lineup, featuring Grammy Award-winning stars, masterful improvisers, and emerging talents. You’ll be sure to enjoy this celebration of jazz’s rich cultural heritage, showcasing diverse ensembles led by both women and men, representing many cultural styles and traditions. Country Summer Music Festival

If you’re looking for something big to celebrate your time in Sonoma County, look no further: the Country Summer music festival, presented by Bud Light, is Northern California’s biggest country music festival! Returning for its 10th anniversary on June 14th, you won’t want to miss the biggest party of the summer, featuring a star-studded line-up of country music stars performing over three days at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds. Country Summer is THE destination music festival for Northern California, featuring delicious food, craft beer, wine, and cocktails, an intimate wine country venue, shorter lines, a great value, and fun for the whole family.

Wine Country Yoga at Hook & Ladder Winery

Join our good friends at Hook & Ladder on June 8th at 9:30am for a revitalizing session of yoga amidst the picturesque vineyards at their iconic Winery. Once there, you’ll be taking in the peaceful surroundings as you flow through an all-level yoga practice led by local Windsor Fitness Club Yoga Teacher, Madeline Schwartz. After your yoga session, you’ll get the chance to enjoy a complimentary glass of Hook & Ladder’s award-winning wine and soak in the tranquil atmosphere with pleasant company. Peacetown Summer Concert Series

Voted “Best Outdoor Music Festival” by the North Bay Bohemian, the Peacetown Summer Concert Series happens every Wednesday evening this month. You can find the Peacetown concerts and all the fun they bring with them in The Barlow and at HopMonk Tavern. The best part? It’s completely free! Come and enjoy the high vibes and amazing music being performed on six different stages, with craft vendors and family-friendly activities to add to the experience. Purple Pachyderm Car Show: Vintage Vehicles, Vino & Vittles

Mark your calendars for June 15th and celebrate vintage cars, vino, and vittles in style! The Purple Pachyderm is thrilled to announce the triumphant return of the Purple Pachyderm Car Show and Wine Event, all in support of the Food for Thought Food Bank. Join them for a small-town vintage car rally, where classic cars, fine wine, surf rock tunes, and tasty grub collide! While they encourage Vintage Surf Rockabilly attire or pit crew-themed outfits, it’s not mandatory—so wear what makes you feel groovy. Special mention to Uncle Sea Monster and Purple Pachyderms’ very own Nick Pully and his band who will be playing hardcore surf music for the crowd!
